AGAPE (the Greek word for love) was chosen by the senior highs for the name of their fellowship as a reminder that we are called to live and love as children of God. AGAPE is open to all youth who are in the 10th - 12th grade. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment in which youth, their parents and guardians and significant adults in the congregation build a foundation of Christian relationships. It is a safe place for the youth to come and discover their faith in Jesus Christ in a caring community of faith.

Agape Sunday Evening Youth Group: This year our format will include a regular gathering with dinner, fun, and reflection. One Sunday a month we will depart from the regular format and do something offsite, such as bowling, visiting the corn maze, a fall hayride, etc. The youth group meets every Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. This year's leadership team is Jack Burriss, Brittany Gagne, Jim Light, Sam Lowell,  and is headed by Ellen Clark, Director of Youth and Children's Ministries.

Confirmation: All 9th graders are encouraged to be part of the Confirmation experience. Classes will be held from September through April on Thursday evenings at 7-8:30 p.m.  Rev. Karen Chakoian and Ellen Clark will work with the confirmands.

High School Church School: This year the High School class will be focusing on Seasons of the Spirit, a curriculum that follows Scripture from the liturgical calendar. The format changes on the Sundays when the youth choir sings. The church school team is Brittany Gagne, Jim Light and Sam Lowell.

Y.E.S. Club Cooking: One of our mission projects is to provide a monthly meal for the disadvantaged teens in the Y.E.S. (Youth Engaged in Service) Club. We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m. in Heritage Hall to prepare the meal, then transport the meal to Newark.

Fundraisers: We will have three fundraisers this program year. We'll have our Annual Rummage Sale on September 25, 2010 (from 8:30-2 p.m.)a sensational Souperbowl Sunday Sub Sale on Superbowl Sunday in February, and a Talent Auction Dinner in the spring. These events raise money for the Summer LOGOS Conference, Choir trip and our Youth Mission Trip.
