Festivo Bells and the James Cancer Center

This past Monday, December 15, the Festivo bells packed up 5 of our 6 octaves and headed into Columbus for our third annual concert at the James Cancer Center.  We played music from Walking Tour and from earlier in the fall. The folks that listened were doctors and nurses, folks getting chemotherapy in the area above where we played and all the friends and family of those patients battling cancer.  

One of the highlights was to see as we looked up at the folks watching and listening over the railing above us, one of the patients held up a sign declaring: You are ALL Angels.  

This brief hour of outreach has come to mean so much to us as ringers and we are looking forward to our 4th annual trip next December.

If you missed us Tuesday morning on the morning news CBS channel we did get a shout out and they played a brief clip of Festivo playing.  There is a series called Heather Pick which highlights the performances at the James.  Here’s a link to check it out.
