Welcome & Inclusion Task Force Round Table Discussions
Sunday, August 9 beginning at 11:15 a.m.
This spring, nearly 30 people gathered weekly to discuss the inclusive book by David Gushee, Changing Our Mind. These groups brought forth meaningful discussions that we hope to continue alongside the congregation. Whether you have read this book or not, all are welcome to round table conversations. The final discussion is Sunday, August 9 at 11:15 a.m.
Senior High Youth Lock In
Beginning Friday, August 14 at 7:00 p.m.
Ending Saturday, August 15 at 8:00 a.m.
Join First Presbyterian Youth in kicking off the ministry year together with a lock in at the church! The night will surely be a blast. Be sure to bring a snack to share and an air mattress to sleep on the church floor. For any questions, please reach out to Kristin Ream at kream@granpres.org.
Mission Sponsored Picnic

Our Mission Committee will be hosting a picnic with leaders from HOME Court, including the HOME Court magistrate and Newark City lawyer to share about the newly administered HOME Court of Licking County. This service began after the ban of camping on public property in Newark. The court works with our unhoused neighbors, offering a program to serve their needs and a place to live once the program is completed. We will have yard games and supervision for all children during the presentation. Please bring a side dish to share!
Tour of Ireland Summer 2027

Our handbell choirs will be playing three concerts in Dublin, Cork, and Sligo next summer, and you’re invited to join the tour from June 15-24, 2027! While in Ireland, we’ll be visiting Killarney, Waterford, Kilkenny, the Cliffs of Moher, and Dublin, and so much more. We have room for 15 more people to join us, and we would love for it to be you!
