A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Wallace is a graduate of Baylor University (B.A.), the University of Chicago Divinity School (M.A.), and Emory University (M.Div.), with additional study at the Universität-Göttingen in Germany. 

Ordained in 2001, he previously served as pastor of congregations in Iowa City, Des Moines, and Philadelphia, before coming to Granville in 2025. 

Wallace is married to Gabriele Albrecht, a native of Hildesheim, Germany, who teaches English Language Learners in the Southwest Licking School District.  They have two daughters: Lena, a student at St. Olaf College, and Sophie, who attends Granville High School. 

Wallace enjoys living in the village, and can often be found walking local trails, spending time on the Denison campus, connecting with folks at one of the local coffee shops, and—of course—shopping at the IGA.
