Blessing Box at First Presbyterian Church of Newark
We are in our 5th year of stocking the Blessing Box at First Presbyterian Church of Newark. What a blessing you have been! As the seasons change, we are filling the box with different items. Please consider donating: gatorade, water bottles, protein snacks, soft breakfast bars, pop-top canned veggies and fruit, travel-sized toiletries, and body cleaning wipes. You can leave all donations at the table as you enter the Sanctuary. We are also in need of volunteers! Volunteers gather prepackaged items from the church and deliver them to the Blessing Box. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to serve together in a hands-on way!
Share the Harvest
Each Saturday morning during the months of June through August, volunteers from First Presbyterian Church of Granville collect unsold fresh produce and other food items from the Granville Farmers Markets and distribute them to the Salvation Army.
Food Pantry Network of Licking County
Under the umbrella of the Food Pantry Network of Licking County, The Market Street Food Pantry at St. Lukes Church serves about 180 families per week, 750 families per month, and 8,640 families per year. Twice a week, St. Luke’s offers food and friendship to Licking County Neighbors at the Market Street Pantry, located in Downtown Newark. Over the summer, Dagny Gerlarmo, the Director of the Market Street Food Pantry, will give individuals, couples, and families a tour of the pantry, and further insights into the food insecurity within our community.
